Hi Cyndra,

Scotty just turned me on to your site. Wow. I can't believe what I just read. I can't believe you really did what you described in such rich and interesting detail. You are amazing. Just incredible. You've got ovaries... and are much to be admired. Thanks for sharing your fabulous adventure in Africa.

I'm sorry to say I've been out of touch with your family for so long. How are your folks? All the siblings? Wow. I'm still stunned.

Your cousin Terry

Hi Cyndra -
I'm the worst cousin ever, having asked for the scoop, receiving it from you, and then not even responding! I'm so sorry - I was amazed by your story and still am! Thank you so much for telling me how you and your family are all doing. I was sad to hear that your folks are in a rest home - if you are in this area please call me and we can go over together to see them.

My cousin Beryl (Grandma Mabel Ingram's husband Freds brother's daughter... ha ha, got that?) recently went to Africa on a safari with a group. She was amazed just from that point of view - but what on earth inspired you to undertake such a journey, all alone? I'm in awe.

I live in Grandma's house in Walnut Creek now with my Partner George, and we are happy. Long ago Bud and I divorced, and I remarried. My husband died two years ago, and I've had the miraculous good fortune to be reunited with my first Love from teenage years. Life is surprising, is it not? My two daughters are dental assistants here in Walnut Creek, and my son Joe moved to Reno with his wife Elli where, after completing their masters programs they both teach music. (Joe is the band director at Tahoe High School, Elli teaches younger grades in Carson City) Life is not predictable, but I'm happy and walking hopefully toward a more simple future. My love and I like to travel (he is Icelandic) and we never turn down a chance to go off on a trip somewhere. Most recently we went to Iceland for a second time, where we attended a family reunion and enjoyed seeing more of that country. Anyway, excuse the disjointedness of this note, but I just wanted to respond and say hi.

Cheers - Terry
